ISSUES AFFECTING THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND THE NATION
PROPOSALS OR EMAILS SENT TO OUR AREA
ELECTED FEDERAL AND STATE OFFICIALS BY DR. SCHWEIZER
Dr. Schweizer is the sole author of this material and it is neither endorsed nor sponsored by any university or lower level office. The letters are posted here since after multiple emails to our elected representatives on a variety of critical issues, their responses are form letters without ever addressing the nature of my correspondence or suggestions. The comments in the linked correspondence reflect the personal views of Dr. Schweizer and as such, may differ from your own views, but it is important to bring issues to the table and to discuss them from a rational rather than political perspective. Some of the issues discussed are relevant to criminology students at CSU Fresno and I will encourage these students to weigh in on criminal justice related problems or legislation, and to write their elected representatives their views on issues that should be or are addressed by them.
A big problem with the websites of our elected representatives is that their web based email forms do not allow for more than 2000 words, and they require their constituents to select from a limited number of issues when emailing them. You are also forced to select SUPPORT or OPPOSE on the issues clicked on. This makes no sense to me. I am therefore posting some of my previous lengthy emails here for all to see and I am also emailing our elected representatives the link to access the entire document.
If you notice grammatical errors in my correspondence, they are caused by the fumes generated when trying to voice my opinion in emails to our elected representatives. It is also soooo easy to click SEND and then..oh, oh, there was a typo.
If you enjoy reading the material or like the idea, please email me: haralds@csufresno.edu
If you do not like what I post, then at least that means you read it, contrary to many of our elected representatives.
