Review for test 3

Test 3 will be on chapter 5 and proportional reasoning, and will contain 4 problems (some will only require a short calculation; some will require longer calculation, more creativity, and/or ask for an explanation). Review the following topics/problems:

Pythagorean theorem (statement, proofs, problems)
The number pi (definition, properties)
Perimeter, area, surface area, volume (concepts and formulas for some basic shapes: rectangle, parallelogram, trapezoid, triangle, circle, rectangular/triangular prism/pyramid, cylinder, cone, sphere)
Similarity (definition, properties, and perimeter, area, surface area, and volume of similar figures/solids)
Investigations 34, 35, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44
All problems in chapter 5
Proportional reasoning problems (see e.g. pages 119-120)
