Homework 4

• Find (or write your own) and solve 2 problems that involve permiter, area, surface area, or volume of similar figures or solids. One should be an easy/medium problem (e.g. a typical problem done in a 9th/10th grade geometry class), and the other one should be a harder problem (e.g. one of the harder Math Field Day problems).
• Show correct solution(s) (be sure to explain your reasoning). If a problem can be solved in different ways, show as many different solutions as you can find.
• Identify what concept understanding/knowledge each problem is teaching or testing.
• Predict possible student misconceptions/mistakes and how you would address those.
• Suggest a grading rubric (if the problems were given on a test).
