Notes about Labs

Process:  Most labs consist of two major sections.  The first is designed for your review or self-learning.  It may include new calculus concepts, new ways of using Maple, new ways of looking at concepts we've already discussed, etc.  Work through these sections carefully, with the goal of understanding the concepts and how they fit together.  The second section asks you to apply what you've learned to solve some problems.  Expect to spend about one hour in class and two hours out of class on each lab.

Partners:  You are expected to work with a partner on each lab.  I will assign partners for the first two labs then let you choose your own.  Permission to do a lab by yourself must be obtained prior to beginning the lab.  It is the responsibility of each partner to contribute to every part of the lab and to understand all parts of the lab submitted.

Due Dates:  All labs are due before class on the date due.  Failure to attend class does not absolve you of the responsibility of submitting your lab on time.  Labs may be submitted early to my office or via e-mail.
