Assignment: Calling a Cab

 

A few hours before you check out of your hotel, you call your hotel's front desk to reserve a cab to go to the airport to fly back home. Later on, as you are waiting in line to check out, you see your cab arrive. But as you are checking out, another guest gets in your cab and drives off!

A. Is this a problem? (under what circumstances is it a problem? for whom is it a problem? etc.)

B. Is this a systems problem? (will putting a better system in place solve the problem? how?)

C. Is this an information systems problem? How so?

D. Is this an information technology problem? (can creative uses of information technology solve this problem?)
