Tim McConnico, Fresno State's 2001 University Graduate Medalist, was among the eleven American Fulbright Scholars studying in New Zealand recognized by Charles J. Swindells, U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand, and Mrs. Harriet Fulbright, widow of U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright, at a ceremony held at the New Zealand Parliament August 1(pictured below).

Tim, who earned his M.S. in Geology from Fresno State, is currently working on his Ph.D. in Geology at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. He's conducting a basin analysis of the Oamaru Region.
