Hovannes Kulhandjian is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State).
Before joining Fresno State he was an Associate Research Engineer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University.
He was working on the development of the Northeastern University Marine Observatory NETwork (NU MONET).
He received his B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering with high honors (magna cum laude) from the American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2008,
and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2010 and 2014, respectively.
During his Ph.D. training he was working in the Wireless Networks and Embedded Systems (WiNES) Laboratory at the State University of New York at Buffalo under the guidance of Prof. Tommaso Melodia.
