• Volunteers from the audience write two numbers on a board.
• Beginning with these two numbers they construct a Fibonacci-like sequence, where each term starting with the third one is the sum of the previous two terms.
• The volunteers are asked to write out the first ten terms and add them up.
• Before all the ten terms are written out, the magician starts working on the same task in his/her head, and has the answer faster than the volunteers.
