This is the home page for Math 75A, spring 2007.
Click here to go to the syllabus. NOTE: If updates to the syllabus become necessary, I will announce any changes in class. These changes override any information contained in the above syllabus. You are responsible for obtaining the most up-to-date information. |
Here you will also find downloadable course documents, such as handouts, worksheets, homework lists, exams, and exam solutions as they become available. Some of these documents are in ".pdf" format. In order to view and print them, you will need a pdf viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Most Fresno State computers have it. To get a free copy, click here. If you are having difficulty downloading the documents, it sometimes helps to save the files to disk and then open them in your .pdf reader rather than having the browser open them for you. Please let me know if you have any trouble reading them. |

- Old News
- 4/23
- The Homework List has been updated. The due dates for the rest of the term are now set.
- Our third and final MIDTERM will be on Friday, May 4. It will cover chapters 6-8 of Ebersole and sections 2.7-3.4 of Stewart. Watch for a set of practice problems coming soon. It is not too early to begin reviewing on your own -- please do lots of odd-numbered problems from the text!
- In order to ensure the academic integrity of this course, I will be checking your student ID at or before the final exam. Please bring it to class or office hours before the final exam so you do not have to worry about it on the day. If you decide to skip the final exam, you will still need to bring your ID to me before you start your summer vacation! Your grade for this course will not be processed until I have verified your ID. The only exception will be if you earn an F for the course. Thank you for your cooperation.
- 4/28
- A practice midterm, and solutions, are now available above. As usual, you are urged to complete the practice exam under test conditions (no notes, no calculator, no interruptions) as much as possible. Please contact me if you have trouble viewing the practice or the solutions, or if you find any errors.
- Our problem session this week will be longer to allow more time for questions before the exam. It will be from 2:05-2:50 in our regular classroom, then from 2:50-3:30 in room EE 108. Please come and bring your questions! Good luck studying for the midterm!
- 4/30
- The solutions to the practice midterm are now available above.
- I had intended WeBWorK assignment 3_4 to be due this Wednesday, but I inadvertently typed May 9 as the due date. Lucky you! However, please note that section 3.4 is still going to be on Friday's midterm. So it would be a good idea to complete the WeBWorK assignment this week, if possible, as practice for the test.
- 5/11
- A practice final is now available above. As usual, you are urged to complete the practice exam under test conditions (no notes, no calculator, no interruptions) as much as possible. Solutions will be available soon. Please contact me if you have trouble viewing the practice or the solutions, or if you find any errors.
- I will be in my office on Monday, May 14 from 9:30-10:45am. Please come if you have last-minute questions. You may also feel free to email me in the meantime. Good luck studying for the final!
- Our final exam will be on Monday, May 14, 1:15-3:15pm, in our regular classroom (EE 180).
- I have really enjoyed our class. Thank you all so very much for the birthday wishes and cookies. It means a lot. I'm very glad that many of you will be joining me for Math 75B in the fall. Have a great summer!
