Math 75B Home Page and Selected Course Materials |

Instructor: Dr. Katherine Kelm |
This is the home page for Math 75B, Spring 2008.
Click here to go to the syllabus. NOTE: If updates to the syllabus become necessary, I will announce any changes in class. These changes override any information contained in the above syllabus. You are responsible for obtaining the most up-to-date information. |
Here you will also find downloadable course documents, such as handouts, worksheets, homework lists, exams, and exam solutions as they become available. Some of these documents are in ".pdf" format. In order to view and print them, you will need a pdf viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Most Fresno State computers have it. To get a free copy, click here. If you are having difficulty downloading the documents, it sometimes helps to save the files to disk and then open them in your .pdf reader rather than having the browser open them for you. Please let me know if you have any trouble reading them. |

- Old News
- 4/2
- The Old News link above is now active. Please click to see updates from January through March.
- 4/8
- The Homework List has been updated with current deadlines. In particular, the order of some sections has been rearranged. Please check carefully for what is due.
- 4/29
- A collection of practice problems, with solutions, for the upcoming midterm is now available above (under the red Exams and Practice Exams heading). You are urged to complete them under test conditions as much as possible (no notes, no calculator, no interruptions) in order to give yourself a good "dress rehearsal."
- As usual, I have not proofread the solutions to the practice problems very thoroughly (I am concentrating on making sure the actual exam has no errors!), so if you spot any errors or typos, please let me know so I can fix them.
- A reminder that our problem session this week will be longer to give us extra time to go over problems before the test. It will be from 10:00 to 11:30am. It will be beneficial to you and to everyone else if you have thoroughly gone over the solutions to the practice problems before this session (see above). I will be happy to answer any questions that are asked; however, we will have time for many more questions if everyone is asking questions like, "In your solutions, on #3, I get all the steps except this part...", rather than, "I didn't get #3. No, I haven't tried to read your solutions." Good luck studying for the exam!
- 5/10
- A collection of practice problems, with solutions, for the upcoming final is now available above (under the red Exams and Practice Exams heading).
- Due to a problem with the server, the technical staff have had to move WeBWorK temporarily to a different URL. In case you are interested in using WeBWorK to check your HW grades or study for the final, please use the URL
http://webwork.math.csufresno.edu/webwork2/Math75B-KKelm/
for the next few days. If it doesn't work, you can try the old one which it should revert back to once they fix the server. Please let me know if you have any problems logging in.
- I will be in my office from 11:30am to 1:30pm on Monday, May 12 to answer questions. You may also feel free to email me. Good luck studying for the exam!
- The final exam is on Thursday, May 15:
- 1:15-3:15 (12:00 section) or
- 3:30-5:30 (2:00 section)
If you would like to take your exam at the time slot other than the one for which you are enrolled, please email me to let me know. If you later change your mind, let me know by Thursday at noon.
- If, for any reason, you decide not to take the final exam, please email me to let me know, so I can save paper by not printing an exam for you. If you later change your mind, let me know by Thursday at noon.
- I have greatly enjoyed these last two semesters with all of you. I will miss you! Please come visit from time to time and let me know how your studies are going. Have a great summer!
