Ulrike Müller: Associate Professor of Biology, CSUF
My research focuses on how animals and plants move. I study how fish swim and turn and how insects walk and fly. We also visualize the flow around aquatic organisms to study swimming and feeding currents. Our general research area is biomechanics and physiology of motion and motion control.

Otto Berg: California State University, Fresno
My training is in molecular spectroscopy, with a research emphasis on the interaction between small molecules and dielectric surfaces. A list of publications is found here. At Fresno State Park I am a lecturer in the Chemistry Department, and a scientific collaborator of professors Müller, Youn, and Goto. Their biological research programs have a strong physical component, hence I am able to contribute to experimental design in matters of physical optics, and to data analysis and modeling.
